Benjamin Rivers leads the design and development of websites and interactive games for creative, corporate and educational clients. He teaches at OCAD University and is an accomplished illustrator and graphic novelist.

These towering dinosaurs were illustrated for the Royal Ontario Museum’s latest “Out of the Vault” exhibit: Dinosaur Eggs & Babies. Toronto design firm Hambly & Woolley Inc. commissioned an image for this exhibition of rare, 195-million-year-old dinosaur nests. The illustration had to be suitably authoritative yet friendly to younger audiences.
The campaign spans outdoor advertising, newspaper and magazine ads, the ROM itself, and even a 15-second television spot, lovingly animated by the Pirate Group. I designed the image to be flexible and easy to manipulate so it could be cropped and maneuvered for each application.
